Lochside 1981

Nez : D'entrée nous avons du bois sec. Malgré cela une texture crémeuse, douce, onctueuse à la volonté de résister. Des fruits mûrs aux arômes généreux, la pêche très nettement se distingue, elle est fraîche, gorgée de jus. De l'abricot présentant des caractéristiques similaires. Crème brûlée, pâte à crêpes. C'est un mélange pâtissier, fruité qui va accompagner l'ouverture et de plus en plus cela deviendra fondu, créant un ensemble cohérent et franchement agréable.

Bouche : Belle intensité, sans défaut du point de vue de l'intégration de l'alcool cependant. C'est à nouveau un merveilleux équilibre entre sécheresse boisée et douceur fruitée. Nous restons sur ces fruits à noyaux tels que pêche, abricot. Des épices se dispersent. Il y a quelque chose d'assez proche de la banane, de la coco, mais c'est moi franc que pour la pêche. 

Finale : Cireuse, longue. Il y a un retour de cette pâte à crêpes dans ce qu'elle a d'épaisse et de vanillée. 

Mon premier Lochside, je ne peux m'empêcher une nouvelle fois de songer à Sylvain, qui était un amoureux de cette distillerie désormais éteinte.

Je le comprend enfin, car Lochside est une distillerie au caractère relativement unique, je dirais peu commun et surtout qui ne correspond plus à ce qui se produit pour le moment.

Nose: On arrival we have dry wood. In spite of this, a creamy texture, soft, unctuous with the will to resist. Mature fruits with generous aromas, the fish clearly distinguishes itself, it is fresh, full of juices. Apricot with similar characteristics. Crème brûlée, pancake batter. It is a pastry blend, fruity that will accompany the opening and more and more it will become melted, creating a coherent and frankly pleasant.

Palate: Beautiful intensity, flawless from the point of view of the integration of alcohol though. It is again a wonderful balance between woody dryness and fruity sweetness. We remain on these stone fruits such as peach, apricot. Spices are scattered. There's something quite close to bananas, coconuts, but it's only frank for me to fish.

Finish: Waxing, long. There is a return of this pancake batter in what it has of thick and vanilla.

My first Lochside, I can not help but think again of Sylvain, who was a lover of this distillery now extinct.

I understand it finally, because Lochside is a distillery of relatively unique character, I would say unusual and especially that no longer corresponds to what is happening at the moment.
